Diocesan Awards

Dean's Award (bronze) and Bishop's Award (silver)

These awards are presented annually at the October Diocesan Choirs Festival in Southwell Minster following success in the examination by the Rector Chori of Southwell Minster or other RSCM-approved examiner.

The syllabus for each of these awards follows exactly the pattern of Voice for Life and provides an unbiased Diocesan award, which complements the awards of the training scheme. The Dean's Award fits between the Dark Blue and Red awards, and the Bishop's Award fits between the Red and Yellow awards. There is a special Southwell Diocese medallion on Green and Purple ribbons respectively. Examinations for the Dean's Award and the Bishop's Award take place at Southwell twice each year at a time convenient to Candidate and Examiner.

These dates and the final dates for applications can be found under Awards Information.

Enquires regarding application for the awards should be made to Southwell Minster's Rector Chori, . Further details may be found in the syllabus.
